El Nido
El Nido is a Philippine municipality on Palawan island. It’s known for white-sand beaches, coral reefs and as the gateway to the Bacuit archipelago, a group of islands with steep karst cliffs.
Is a 1st class municipality in the province of Palawan, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 41,606 people. It is about 420 kilometres (260 mi) south-west of Manila, and about 238 kilometres (148 mi) north-east of Puerto Princesa, Palawan's capital. A managed resource protected area, it is known for its white-sand beaches, coral reefs, limestone cliffs and as the gateway to the Bacuit archipelago.
El Nido is currently ranked #4 in Condé Nast Traveler's list of "20 Most Beautiful Beaches in the World." CNNGo has called it the Best Beach and Island destination in the Philippines for its "extraordinary natural splendor and ecosystem."

All set for 'Bourne' shoot in El Nido

MANILA, Philippines -- It's all systems go for the shooting of the Hollywood film "The Bourne Legacy" in El Nido, Palawan on Wednesday.
Three ships have already arrived to be used by the movie's crew for to store their equipment, while smaller boats are also being prepped for smaller items. An old boat was also brought in from Navotas, where parts of the movie have been shot.
The shooting location will be El Nido's picturesque Big Lagoon. According to actor Lou Veloso, he plays a fisherman with an old boat who finds Aaron Cross (played by lead star Jeremy Renner) who figured into an accident.
On Tuesday, the film's crew were seen rehearsing the stunts for the action scenes to be filmed in Palawan.
So far, Renner and lead actress Rachel Weisz have yet to report to the set.
According to a source, the two actors are currently in Amanpulo, a high-end island resort also in Palawan.
